New part-time courses for 2018 - 2019

University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE)

I am writing to let you know that our new programme of part-time Undergraduate Certificate and Diploma courses starting this autumn has just been launched.  Full details of the programme are available on the ICE website.

View the full programme: www.ice.cam.ac.uk/awards

You may be familiar with the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE).  Our goal is to respond to the contemporary needs of learners at every stage of their lives, while enabling part-time students to benefit from the best of the University academic expertise in a wide range of subjects. Through ICE, people are able to enjoy the Cambridge learning experience while maintaining other commitments such as work or caring for others. Our students are often learning for personal enrichment in their middle age or third age.

Certificate courses are open to everyone regardless of previous educational experience, while prior study at Certificate level or prior experience in the subject area is recommended for Diploma courses

Part-time courses lifetime benefits

Many adult learners enrol on an ICE course to explore a subject area in which they have a deep interest or passion, or for personal developmental reasons. Others have a professional goal or skills need and are attracted by the opportunity to achieve a University of Cambridge Certificate or Diploma on successful completion of their part-time courses.

Students at ICE enjoy:

 - exploring fascinating subjects and working towards accredited University level qualifications

 - tuition from leading University of Cambridge lecturers and industry experts

 - live classes at beautiful Madingley Hall – the home of ICE -  just outside Cambridge

 - online support through our virtual learning environment

 - making new lifelong friends while exchanging ideas and testing their thinking.

New bursaries announced for 2018 - 2019

A limited number of bursaries have just been announced. Eligible students must be at least 18 years old, studying credit-bearing courses at university level for the first time and for whom finance is a barrier to part-time study.  The deadline for application is Friday 6 July 2018 and applicants will be informed within three weeks of this date.

We also have an early booking offer of Afternoon Tea for two at Madingley Hall for those enrolling by Monday 2 July 2018

Whatever their life stage or motivation for learning, your members or readers will benefit from one of our new part-time courses and I would be grateful if you could draw them to their attention. If you would like any further information please get in touch with us at enquiries@ice.cam.ac.uk
